Recently, the Fuding City Tea Industry Development Leading Group Office reported that the city is working hard to uncover and enhance the cultural depth of the Fuding white tea industry, aiming to unlock its high-value cultural attributes. Efforts are focused on building a strong public brand and distinctive regional brands for Fuding white tea, while simultaneously establishing a robust brand identity to boost the tea’s global recognition and reputation—achievements that have already proven significant. As of now, the city boasts 1 China Famous Trademark, 12 Well-Known Trademarks, 8 Provincial Famous Trademarks, 7 Provincial Brand-name Products, and 4 Provincial Brand-name Agricultural Products.
In recent years, Fuding City has leveraged various promotional platforms and media channels to launch multi-channel, multi-level, comprehensive, and content-rich publicity and outreach initiatives. Notably, in 2011, the city hosted its inaugural Fuding Tea Merchants Conference, rallying local tea entrepreneurs and enthusiasts to passionately promote the Fuding White Tea brand while actively organizing group participation in prestigious international and national tea events, including the Shanghai Yuyuan International Tea Culture Festival, the 2011 Beijing Xicheng District International Tea Culture Festival, the 5th China West International Tea Industry & Culture Expo, the Xinyang International Tea Culture Festival, the 2011 China (Xiamen) Haixi International Tea Expo, the 3rd Hong Kong International Tea Expo, the 2011 China Guangzhou International Tea Expo, and the 5th Cross-Strait Tea Industry Expo. Fuding has also placed great emphasis on promoting white tea culture, establishing regional promotion centers dedicated to Fuding White Tea in six major cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Chongqing, and Guangzhou. These initiatives, coupled with extensive media coverage from national and provincial TV networks, newspapers, and other news outlets, have effectively showcased and elevated the Fuding tea brand, significantly boosting the recognition and influence of Fuding White Tea. As a result, the city’s white tea industry has experienced rapid and sustainable growth, thriving in both domestic and global markets.
According to the head of the Fuding City Tea Industry Development Leading Group Office, this year Fuding City will further refine its licensing system for the exclusive use of the "Fuding White Tea" certification trademark, leveraging the brand's value-added potential. The city will also strengthen brand protection efforts and launch a new round of initiatives aimed at elevating the Fuding tea brand. In addition to initiating the application process for the national geographical indication certification trademark of "Bailin Gongfu," Fuding will vigorously support Pinpinxiang Tea Industry Co., Ltd. in pursuing the designation of "China Famous Trademark." Furthermore, the city will continue organizing specialized promotional events for "Fuding White Tea" in key cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai, while actively participating in significant domestic and international tea-related events. These efforts are designed to boost market visibility, expand sales channels, and encourage all local tea producers and retailers to enhance their brand awareness, increase investment in branding, and intensify promotional activities—working together to build and safeguard the esteemed Fuding White Tea brand.
