Recently, a film crew from CCTV's Documentary Channel traveled to Fuding City in Fujian Province to shoot the white tea segment of their ambitious six-part documentary series titled "Tea." Each episode will run for 52 minutes, and the series as a whole will explore the historical evolution of tea, using six key regions across the global tea landscape as its guiding threads—each representing a distinct chapter in how tea has shaped—and continues to influence—the world.

"Tea" will be filmed and produced using high-definition formats and cinematic techniques. Whether it’s a realistic documentary, a historical reenactment, or a scientific demonstration, the film will entirely embrace the non-fiction filmmaking approach, seamlessly blurring the lines between documentaries and narrative films. By incorporating dramatized storytelling into its narrative strategy, "Tea" aims to deliver entertainment that rivals the appeal of traditional feature films—while still maintaining the academic rigor and historical authenticity expected of a documentary in terms of factual accuracy and intellectual depth.
