April 18: The highly anticipated results of the 2013 China Tea Regional Public Brand Value Assessment were officially unveiled at a grand event held in Xinchang, Zhejiang Province. After months of rigorous selection, the "Top 10 China Tea Regional Public Brands of 2013" were proudly announced, with three prominent provincial tea categories—Anxi Tieguanyin, Fuding White Tea, and Fuzhou Jasmine Tea—making the prestigious list. Joining them among the top 10 are well-known names such as West Lake Longjing, Pu'er Tea, Xinyang Maojian, Dongting Mountain Biluochun, Dafosi Longjing, Anji White Tea, and Qimen Black Tea.

According to reports, since 2010, the China Tea Regional Public Brand Value Assessment Team—jointly established by the CARD China Agricultural Brand Research Center at Zhejiang University, *China Tea* magazine, and China Tea Network under the China National Tea Research Institute—has been conducting continuous tracking and systematic quantitative research on tea regional public brands with significant influence across the country. The team regularly publishes the "Brand Value Assessment Report" and the "Brand Value Ranking," which have become the annual benchmark for China's tea regional public brand development and a crucial measure of the annual achievements in building these brands nationwide.

"The 2013 China Tea Regional Public Brand Value Assessment" was launched in December 2012 and took four months to complete. The study used a survey sample of 203 regional public tea brands across the country, focusing specifically on 106 of these brands as its primary research subjects. Employing the "Zhejiang University CARD Agricultural Product Brand Value Assessment Model," the researchers conducted consumer sampling surveys, literature reviews, telephone interviews with brand-owning organizations, and questionnaire-based research—complemented by expert evaluations—to ultimately finalize the value assessments for 99 regional public tea brands.

Meanwhile, the "China Tea Regional Public Brand Value Assessment Team" also released the "White Paper on the Development of China's Regional Tea Public Brands." The white paper highlights that China's regional tea public brands are generally showing strong growth potential. Over the past five years, brand value has steadily increased, though the pace of brand revenue growth has slowed somewhat overall. Meanwhile, brand loyalty has experienced some fluctuations—but these remain within normal ranges—while brand strength continues to rise steadily across the board. Notably, smaller tea categories are collectively making significant strides. Among them, niche tea brands such as black tea, yellow tea, and white tea have seen particularly robust average brand value growth, far outpacing that of green tea brands. As consumer awareness of health-focused tea beverages continues to spread, green tea's long-standing dominance is gradually being challenged.

Fuding White Tea has been honored as the sixth-ranked brand among China's Top 10 Regional Public Tea Brands in 2013. According to the latest assessment, Fuding White Tea’s regional public brand value reached 2.693 billion yuan in 2013. Since 2010, Fuding White Tea has consistently ranked among the top 10 in the national evaluation of regional public tea brands for four consecutive years. In 2010, 2011, and 2012, the brand’s public value was assessed at 2.256 billion, 2.445 billion, and 2.534 billion yuan, respectively, marking an average annual growth rate of 6.1% over the past four years.
