Hupu Longjing Information Platform, July 17: Recently, reporters from Bohai Morning News visited the Tianjin market and found that Fuding white tea—boasting health benefits and cooling properties as its top selling points—has been experiencing a surge in sales since the start of "Rufu" (the hottest period of summer). Prices range from 100 yuan per jin to nearly 10,000 yuan, with premium varieties like "Wild Tea King" and "Wild White Peony" particularly popular among consumers despite their hefty price tags.
Zheng Jiawang, General Manager of Fuding Lida Tea Company, explains that Fuding white tea is a unique Chinese tea variety distinguished by three key characteristics: its regional exclusivity, naturally crafted production process, and remarkable health benefits. He’s clearly eyeing the "health-focused" business opportunity that white tea presents.
"Unlike other types of tea, white tea undergoes only minimal fermentation—no frying or rolling—and offers a delicately subtle aroma when sipped. Its standout health benefits make it its biggest selling point, and it’s especially popular both internationally and in northern China," explains Liu Yongfeng, General Manager of Xinhua Culture Tea City. She adds that Fuding white tea, thanks to its naturally preserved processing method, retains the maximum amount of nutrients inherent in the leaves, making it one of the most authentic, natural, and health-conscious tea treasures available.
