To fully harness the role of science and technology as the primary productive force, we are continuously fostering a close integration between technology and the economy. Leveraging the region’s unique industrial strengths, we are pooling superior resources and expertise to jointly establish an integrated modern agricultural innovation system that brings together government, industry, academia, and research institutions. This initiative aims to provide robust technological support for accelerating economic development in Fuding’s county-level regions and advancing the construction of a new socialist countryside. Guided by the principles of "government leadership, market-driven operations, complementary advantages, and mutually beneficial collaboration," our city government has launched comprehensive scientific and technological cooperation with the Hangzhou Tea Research Institute of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. Together, the two sides have established the Fuding Workstation of the National-Level Tea Taster Professional Skills Certification Center, which is affiliated with Fuding Southeast White Tea Import & Export Co., Ltd. Meanwhile, the Hangzhou Tea Research Institute provides guidance on the workstation’s establishment and daily operations, ensuring it has access to qualified instructors, tailored teaching materials, and expert training programs. Following the launch of the program, leading experts and professors will deliver both theoretical instruction and hands-on training, covering topics such as tea tasters’ professional ethics, fundamental knowledge of tea evaluation, and advanced techniques for assessing six major tea categories—including white tea, green tea, oolong tea, and black tea—as well as practical skills in sensory analysis and quality assessment. At the end of the week-long training, participants who successfully pass the certification exam will receive official certificates.
The launch of the "National-Level Tea Tasting Professional Skills Training Class" in Fuding will cultivate grassroots-level tea-tasting professionals, comprehensively enhance the expertise and technical skills of tea tasters, facilitate the implementation of QS certification for tea products, standardize the tea trading market, strengthen tea brands, and ultimately play a positive role in driving the development of our city's tea industry.
