Fuding News Network reports (by Peng Dengsun): On February 11, the grand launch ceremony for the 200th episode celebration of "365 Nights" and the commencement of filming for the Fuding-themed tea culture series drama "Tai Mu Tea Charm," jointly hosted by Fujian Provincial Radio & Television Group and the Fuding Municipal People's Government, was held solemnly in our city. This event marks another powerful collaboration between the two organizations, following last year's successful partnership that saw the province's TV News Comprehensive Channel team up with the Fuding government to successfully co-host the third Cross-Strait Tea Art Television Open Competition under the "Fuding White Tea Cup" banner.
Wang Qing, Executive Vice President of the China Tea Circulation Association; Ma Jiren, Chairman of the Radio and Television Literature & Arts (Serial Drama) Working Committee of the China Radio and Television Association; and Chen Guangpu, Executive Vice President of the Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association—along with leaders such as Xie Yangjun, Director of the Standing Committee of the Ningde Municipal People’s Congress; Zheng Minsheng, Chairman of the CPPCC; and Cheng Shuping, Mayor of Fuding City—graciously attended the event to jointly launch the filming of Fuding’s tea-themed cultural series drama, *Tai Mu Tea Charm*.
It is reported that the program "365 Nights" adheres to the principle of "Stories from the People, Real Lives, Real People," delivering content that resonates deeply with audiences while maintaining a fresh and lively format. Since its debut on May 7, 2005, the show has garnered widespread acclaim from viewers and has emerged as a vibrant new highlight in Fujian's television programming landscape. At the event, leaders at various levels presented trophies and certificates to outstanding creators and performers who have contributed to the show's milestone 2,000th episode, encouraging them to continue producing engaging works that resonate with TV audiences.
Fuding is renowned as the "Home of Chinese White Tea" and the "Hometown of Famous Chinese Teas." For centuries, the diligent and kind-hearted tea farmers of Fuding have not only cultivated two world-famous tea varieties—Fuding Dabai Tea (Hua Cha No. 1) and Fuding Dahao Tea (Hua Cha No. 2)—but have also developed a rich, time-honored tradition of tea-making techniques, evaluation methods, and unique tea-drinking rituals. This has given rise to the distinctive Fuding Tea Culture, which embodies the profound harmony of "heaven, earth, humanity, and harmony," while seamlessly blending history, folklore, etiquette, calligraphy and painting, music, and dance—making it a vibrant and exquisite gem within both Chinese tea culture and Fujian's regional tea heritage. The Fuding Municipal Party Committee and Government have consistently been committed to promoting and showcasing the region's thriving tea industry. In recent years, they have collaborated with film and television productions, as well as newspapers and magazines, to introduce Fuding's exceptional tea culture to audiences worldwide, significantly enhancing the brand recognition and global influence of Fuding's tea industry.
According to Xiong Shishun from the TV News Comprehensive Channel of Fujian Provincial Radio and Television Group, the tea-themed series drama "Tai Mu Tea Charm," jointly produced by the TV News Comprehensive Channel and the Fuding Municipal Party Committee and Government, took more than six months from initial conception and planning to final implementation. Centered around Fuding's tea culture—featuring local tea enthusiasts, tea-related activities, tea gardens, and the region's rich cultural heritage—as well as Tai Mu Mountain's unique tourism appeal, the series invites ordinary citizens to bring its stories to life. With its strong visual appeal and wide-ranging audience participation, it is poised to play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Fuding's renowned white tea culture. Xiong emphasized that this production will not only help spread awareness of Fuding's long-standing white tea tradition but also celebrate the spirit of Fuding's people in the modern era. Ultimately, it aims to position Fuding white tea culture as a vibrant ambassador of the city's evolving identity, drawing global attention to Fuding while fostering deeper appreciation for its exquisite teas. Additionally, "365 Nights" is set to become a key platform for showcasing and promoting Fuding's distinctive tea culture to audiences far and wide.
