Fuding Beijing Chamber of Commerce: Fuding Residents' Second "Home" in Beijing

　　"Today, most Fuding residents in Beijing are already aware of our Fuding Beijing Chamber of Commerce—they’ve come to see it as their second home," said Chen Hengjin, the current Supervisor Chairman (and former Secretary-General) of the Fuding Beijing Chamber of Commerce. Over the past three years, the chamber has actively served as a vital bridge, helping Fuding natives in Beijing build a warm and welcoming community here in the capital.

　　A Bridge for Local Enterprises

　　"We have collaborated with several banks, including China Minsheng Bank, Beijing Bank, China Construction Bank, and Everbright Bank, and have also brought on board three financially strong guarantee companies based in Beijing to offer our members a range of financial products—such as business assistance loans, personal credit loans, tripartite guarantee loans, consumer loans, mortgage loans, and secured loans," said Wang Chenglong, the current honorary chairman (and former president of the Fuding Beijing Chamber of Commerce), to our reporter.

　　Over the past three years, the Fuding Beijing Chamber of Commerce has continuously explored innovative ways to provide services, effectively serving as a vital bridge between financial institutions and businesses. Addressing the challenge of financing difficulties faced by its member companies, the chamber has partnered with multiple financial institutions to help resolve cash-flow shortages during business operations. To date, the chamber has successfully facilitated nearly 300 million yuan in funding for its members, significantly alleviating liquidity constraints in their production and operational processes—and ultimately paving the way for scalable business growth.

　　"To strengthen information exchange among its member companies, the chamber of commerce has been actively engaging in communication through various methods and channels," Wang Chenglong told reporters. "Over the past three years, the chamber has established an online platform to provide members with insights into new national policies and emerging economic trends. It also regularly publishes a chamber newsletter, fostering easier communication between sister chambers and among its members. Additionally, the chamber has organized diverse networking events—such as hometown associations and friendship gatherings—to facilitate dialogue not only among chambers but also between chambers and local governments, ultimately creating a robust collaborative platform for its member businesses."

　　A Boost for Local Development

　　"People from Fuding living in Beijing have already made the chamber of commerce their home, but we also never forget the development of our 'hometown' Fuding and always want to contribute some strength to the cause of our hometown," said Wang Chenglong with a smile. This year, the chamber has successively invested 20,000 yuan in public service billboards for the hometown, donated 10,000 yuan for road construction in Qingkeng Village, Panxi Town, established the Fuding Beijing Chamber of Commerce Fuding No. 9 Middle School Assistance Fund, and distributed 50,000 yuan in scholarships and grants to 21 extremely needy students, 12 financially struggling students, and 39 outstanding students.

　　"Fuding White Tea is a specialty product of Fuding. In recent years, the chamber of commerce has actively collaborated with the government to promote Fuding White Tea in Beijing, organizing various promotional activities. Currently, there are over 100 Fuding-based tea enterprises operating in Beijing, all enthusiastically participating in the development of Beijing’s Malian Dao Tea City—and steadily enhancing the recognition and reputation of Fuding White Tea." Wang Chenglong told reporters that, led by the chamber of commerce and backed by pooled member resources, the Fuding White Tea Industrial Park project is now well underway. This initiative is a key component of our city’s “Return Project,” covering an area of more than 200 mu, with a single-phase investment expected to reach 600 million yuan.

　　The hometown students' homebase

　　“We’ve established the Fuding Student Association in Beijing, which provides funding for various activities and actively fosters communication and collaboration among Fuding students studying in the capital. Together, we organize meaningful events that bring everyone closer,” Chen Hengjin told reporters. He added that over 30 Fuding students currently attend universities in Beijing, but many of them struggle to connect with one another due to the lack of a strong network. As a result, when facing challenges related to life or academics, they often find it difficult to seek effective support. By creating this association and launching diverse networking initiatives, we aim to strengthen friendships among Fuding students in Beijing and cultivate a warm, supportive community environment.”

　　"This year, during the chamber of commerce’s leadership transition election, we invited around 20 Fuding students studying in Beijing to participate in various event activities—some helped with reception duties, others took part in performances, and a few even assisted as conference hosts." Chen Hengjin told reporters that the chamber organizes several economic events each year, always inviting these Fuding students to contribute by leveraging the skills they’ve honed during their university studies, thereby providing them with a valuable platform for practical experience.

　　"Currently, the chamber of commerce has donated over 20,000 yuan to the Ningde Chamber of Commerce Education Charity Fund, helping financially disadvantaged college students from Fuding who are studying in Beijing complete their education," Chen Hengjin told reporters. He added that many Fuding students who graduate from universities in Beijing choose to stay and work there, which also provides a vital talent pool for the growth of the chamber of commerce and its member companies.
