  The brewing method for Fuding white tea is:

  1. Cup-Infusion Method: Ideal for enjoying tea by yourself, this method uses a 200ml transparent glass cup. Add 3–5 grams of tea and pour in about 90°C hot water. First, rinse the tea briefly to warm it and release its aroma; then, directly steep the white tea with fresh boiling water. Adjust the steeping time according to your personal taste preferences.

  2. Gaiwan Method: Ideal for two people to enjoy tea together, this method involves placing 3g of Fuding white tea into a gaiwan. First, rinse the tea with 90°C hot water to warm and awaken its aroma. Then, follow the traditional Gongfu tea brewing technique: steep the first infusion for 30–45 seconds, and gradually reduce the steeping time slightly with each subsequent brew. This approach allows you to fully savor the fresh, delicate flavor of Fuding white tea.

  3. Pot Brewing Method: Ideal for intimate gatherings of three to five people, this method works best with a generously sized Yixing clay teapot or a large-capacity "floating" teacup. Simply place 5–6 grams of Fuding white tea into the vessel, pour in water heated to around 90°C to rinse and awaken the tea’s aroma, and let it steep for 45 seconds before enjoying. Key feature: rich, mellow floral fragrance.

  4. The Big Pot Method: Ideal for shared drinking sessions and long-lasting enjoyment. Simply place 10–15g of white tea into a large porcelain pot, then pour in freshly boiled water at 90–100°C directly over the leaves. After finishing, refill the pot with more hot water. White tea is highly versatile—resistant to multiple infusions—and retains its delicate, elegant aroma and smooth flavor even after prolonged steeping. This method allows you to enjoy the tea from morning till night, making it the perfect choice for cooling off during summer at home.

  5. Brewing Method: Ideal for health purposes, this method involves steeping 10g of aged white tea—aged for at least 3 years—in plain water. Simmer for 3 minutes until a rich extract is achieved, then strain out the tea liquid. Allow it to cool slightly to around 70°C before adding chunks of rock sugar or honey. Enjoy hot—it’s often used to soothe sore throats, reduce fever, and alleviate discomfort caused by changes in climate or environment. The resulting brew boasts a uniquely smooth and robust flavor.

  The brewing time for Fuding white tea depends on the variety, quantity, and type of teaware used. When it comes to serving white tea, there aren’t strict requirements—transparent glass cups, teacups, teapots, or even traditional Kung Fu tea sets all work beautifully. Of course, using Kung Fu-style tea utensils and following the corresponding brewing method will yield even better results. Unlike other teas that undergo processes like frying or rolling, white tea is crafted without these steps, which gives it exceptional durability during multiple infusions. In fact, white tea’s polyphenols take up to six brews to fully release, whereas green tea starts yielding its flavors after just two infusions. Interestingly, white tea actually contains three times more polyphenols than green tea, allowing a single cup to be enjoyed 6 to 8 times! Fuding white tea can be enjoyed year-round, but it’s especially refreshing and cooling during summer, making it an ideal choice to beat the heat. The best times to savor this exquisite tea are around 3:00–4:00 p.m. and again at about 7:00–7:30 p.m. Regular consumption not only helps prevent illness but may also promote longevity, supporting overall health and well-being over time.

  Please note: It is not advisable to drink tea on an empty stomach, and tea should be avoided before meals and right before bedtime. Elderly individuals should limit their intake, while those with kidney deficiency, weak health, rapid heart rate, severe hypertension, chronic constipation, severe nervous exhaustion, or iron-deficiency anemia should steer clear of strong tea altogether.
