The 2nd China (Xiamen) West Strait Tea Expo will be held grandly from June 29 to July 1 at the Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center. Organized by the Fujian Provincial Tea Association and the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the expo is jointly hosted by the Xiamen Tea Association, Anxi County Tea Association, Xiamen Food Association, and other partners. According to organizers, the opening ceremony will also feature the launch of the film project "Cross-Strait Tea Affinity, Student Bonds," as well as the inaugural event of the "Cross-Strait Purple Clay Teapot Exchange and Research Forum."
It is understood that this year's West Strait Tea Expo is themed "Ecology, Health, and Taste," aiming to establish itself as a nationally recognized, professional, culturally rich, and commercially vibrant tea industry event on the western coast of the Taiwan Strait. The expo features 1,000 exhibition booths and spans an impressive 13,000 square meters. So far, it has attracted numerous renowned tea companies to register, including those representing Anxi Tieguanyin, Wuyi Rock Tea (including Lapsang Souchong), Pu'er Tea, Yunnan Dianhong, Fuan Tanyang Gongfu, Fuding White Tea, Zhenghe Gongfu, Fujian Narcissus, and Zhangzhou Baiya Qilan, among others.
Additionally, to highlight Xiamen's advantages in connecting with Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia, the conference organizing committee has specially invited the Taiwan Tea Association, the Taiwan Southeast Asia Collectors Association, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council as special co-organizers of this year’s Tea Expo. This move aims to strengthen outreach efforts toward businesses from the region and attract more professional exhibitors and buyers to attend for valuable trade and economic discussions. The expo will also serve as the premier event for showcasing the overall image and brands of the tea industry and related enterprises, providing an ideal platform for business matchmaking and networking.
